This Privacy Policy describes how Kodup collects, uses, processes, stores, shares, and protects information related to users of the application and related services.
1. Eligibility and Minimum Age
Kodup is intended for users who are at least 16 years old. The App is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
We may collect display name, email address, internal user identifier, future profile image information, and Google Sign-In account information.
2.2 Coupon and Voucher Information
The App allows users to store and manage coupons, vouchers, discounts, and offers, including store names, monetary values, expiration dates, free-text content, and information entered manually or generated automatically.
2.3 Marketplace and Messaging Information
When users interact with Marketplace or Messaging features, we may store marketplace listings, chat messages, internal user identifiers, timestamps, listing statuses, reports, moderation actions, and related security metadata.
2.4 OCR and AI Processing
Kodup may use OCR and AI technologies to extract text from images, organize coupon information, fill structured fields, and process shared text.
2.5 Technical, Advertising, and Analytics Information
We may collect technical and operational information such as device type, operating system version, crash and diagnostics information, usage analytics, notification identifiers, locale, language, and security metadata. The App may also use analytics, measurement, and advertising systems.
3. How We Use Information
Information may be used to operate the App, manage user accounts, perform OCR and AI extraction, enable Marketplace and Messaging features, send notifications, prevent fraud and abuse, support security, improve the service, perform analytics, support advertising, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Marketplace and User Interactions
Kodup operates as a platform connecting users and is not a party to transactions, agreements, or commitments between users. Users are solely responsible for independently evaluating and verifying interactions with other users.
5. Notifications
The App may send new message notifications, coupon expiration reminders, operational notifications, security notifications, and future marketing or promotional notifications, subject to user settings and applicable law.
6. Sharing of Information
We may share information with cloud and infrastructure providers, OCR and AI service providers, analytics and advertising providers, security and operational service providers, legal authorities where required by law, and business partners where reasonably necessary to operate the service.
7. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, support security, prevent fraud and abuse, perform moderation, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect users and the platform. Certain records may remain for a limited period after account deletion where reasonably necessary.
8. Security and International Processing
We implement technical, organizational, and operational measures intended to help protect information, but no security system is completely secure. Information may be transferred, processed, or stored outside the user's country of residence through international service providers.
9. Third-Party Services
Kodup may use services including Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Cloud Vision API, Gemini API, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Google Mobile Ads / AdMob.
10. User Rights and Changes
Subject to applicable law, users may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of certain processing, or preference updates. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
